Toastees, we are going to have a Tall Tales contest. We like to play by the rules. The Toastmasters rules for a Tall Tales contest are as follows:
1. The subject for the Tall Tales speech must be of a highly exaggerated, improbable nature and have a theme or plot.
2. Humor and props may be used to support or illustrate the speech.

That’s it! It’s an unbelievable story. It’s NOT a believable story that is just funny or fictional.

We want to have a contestant from every Division. That means with nine Divisions, we’d like one from every Division. We are going to limit the number of contestants to nine. The entries will be on a first come first serve basis. The only qualification to enter is that your dues are current.

To enter send Dale Goff your name, club name, club number, your Division number and your contact information. Send Dale an email at dale.goff3@gmail.com . He will record the entries as they arrive. He will take the first entry from each Division and file all others that come in up to April 15th. If we don’t get an entry from every Division, then we will randomly select the other contestants to fill the card. The speeches will have a 5 to 7 minute time requirement.

It’s going to be a lot of fun and everyone in the room will get to vote on official TM ballots.

The winners will be announced later that evening after the Friday night keynote address.
