Pres Vasilev – 2013 World Champion of Public Speaking

Pres Vasilev has more than ten years of sales experience in both door-to-door and inside sales. Pres has trained dozens of sales reps to build fruitful business relationships, negotiate effectively, and deliver compelling sales presentations. 

For more than a decade, Pres has studied, researched, written, and spoken on self-improvement, speaking, storytelling, and selling.

Pres Vasilev is the 2013 World Champion of Public Speaking and the author of the popular training program “How to Master Compelling Storytelling.”

Carol Prahinski, PhD, DTM

Carol Prahinski, DTM, of East Lansing, Michigan, is in her 11th year as an assistant professor at Michigan State University. “I lead and teach supply chain management and negotiations to undergraduate juniors and seniors to prepare them for their profession,” she says. In 2018, the graduating seniors selected Prahinski for the Faculty Appreciate Award, as the professor who had the most positive impact on them during their tenure at the Eli Broad College of Business. Prahinski is the immediate past president of the Michigan chapter of the National Speakers Association. Prahinski also served two years as the Chair of the University Committee for the Libraries and is a member of the Negotiations Committee, Union for Nontenure-Track Faculty.

Prahinski holds a Ph.D. and masters of science in operations management from Ohio State University. She also earned her master’s of business administration from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She earned her Dissertation Grant from the National Association of Purchasing Management in 2000. Her non-profit work also includes a role with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A Toastmaster since 2008, Prahinski is a member of four clubs, including her home club, C Division Advanced Speakers, in Grand Ledge. She has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained the Distinguished Toastmaster designation—the highest level of educational achievement in the organization.
