Sandra Orland

Sandra Orland is currently serving as District 10 Program Quality Director and is a 5-year Toastmaster. She has served as a Club Growth Director, Public Relations Manager, and Area 54 Director in District 10. She earned her Distinguished Toastmaster Award in November 2021.
In 2021-2022, she has earned a Triple Crown Award. In 2020-2021, she earned the Triple Crown and Above and Beyond awards. In 2019-2020, she earned the Triple Crown, Visiting Victor Gold for Area 54, Online Ovation for Area 54, Above and Beyond, and Area Director of the Year Awards. She belongs to four clubs, 2 corporate and 2 community clubs. She is has served as Club President, Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Vice President Public Relations, and Sergeant at Arms. She has yet an opportunity to serve as Treasurer and Secretary for her clubs.
As part of the Top 7 Executive leadership and as part of the Trio, she has learned and applied strategies how to hone in on the Dream Building experience to apply to Goals Setting. From the Goals Setting, she’s found several tools and practices that aid in keeping her focus on the most important, non-negotiable tasks. These small decisions and prioritization tactics can be applied daily to result in exponential growth over time. All this while successfully employed full-time and balancing family, hobbies, and passions.
In her professional life, she is an IT Solution Architect at Progressive Insurance. Prior to her 22+ year career in Information Technology, she was a Research Assistant at CWRU in the Howard Hughes Colon Cancer Research Laboratory for 6 years, focusing on cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and executing experiments based on mutations of cellular pathways for apoptosis.
She and her husband, John, have two daughters, one in high school, and the other in college. Together, they enjoy camping, sewing, and crafting in their multi-purpose craft room. She plays trumpet with the Patriot Symphonic Band, Rocky River Community Band, and St Martin of Tours Church. She also arranges music for additional wind musicians for her church.
