A “hybrid” experience allows the club to meet in-person and online simultaneously. In this session, we discuss the benefits of hosting a hybrid club meeting and share the best practices for overcoming the challenges of procuring equipment, acquiring expertise, and preparing the room.

Jeff Vaught is a recently retired software architect whose thirty-year career has consisted largely of explaining the risks and benefits of software implementations to company leadership. He has worked in that role for CA Technologies, Kroger, and Cengage Learning. He has been an officer and member of Milford T.A.L.K. Toastmasters and Mason Speech Weavers since 2017. Jeff also served as a D40 Area Director in 2020. He is an avid cyclist, runner, and YouTuber.


John Humpert is a technical writer, tutor, and mentor who assists subject-matter experts in government and enterprise to present expertise clearly and concisely. A Toastmasters member since 2004, he helped establish Voice of Independence Toastmasters Club in 2009. John has served in many club and district leadership roles. He assists D40 with technology needs by hosting Wednesday late-night Zoom sessions for fellow D40 technology enthusiasts who enjoy sharing ideas and helping get things done.
